Trinity of Dao on the physical,emotional and spiritual level
1/ as Human beings we exist in 3 planes/universes simultaneously.
2/ the 3-universes are:
Physical/body=Yang,
Mind/emotions=Yin and
Soul/spirit/true faith= Chi/Qi
3/ when Yang. Yin and Chi are harmonised.
unblocked and flow freely then, the Dao which is
Energy/Vitality/Vital Life Force (VLF) is
activated and at this point the body is strong,
the mind is harmonious and the spirit is high.
4/ Yang,Yin and Chi are collectively known as the
TRINITY of the ancient medicine,science and
philosophy of DAO.
The Dao of scientific, medical, philosophical and spiritual view of
Human existence.
1/ ever since man’s existence on the Planet Earth, human’s have been contemplation his/her role about life, death, heath and dis-ease and the order in which the
universe functions.
2/ over centuries and millennium of education,
observation and experimentation two views were
observed.
3/ the MATERIAL=YANG view particularly from
the Renaissance period has it’s deep root of the
scientific ideas of:
Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) and
Philosophical ideas of: Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
4/ both men saw the universe as a great and perfect
machine governed by precise mathematical,
engineering and logical laws of TIME and SPACE..
5/ In MEDICINE also the BODY was a MACHINE, made up of component that could be taken apart and put together.
6/ DIS-EASE was seen as a breakdown of the machine and doctor’s task was primarily to remove the disease and if needed the infected part and sometimes with an artificial one.
7/ the HUMANISTIC=YIN view on the other hand saw the BODY/ PHYSICAL=YANG and MIND/ EMOTIONS=YIN functions and is activated by the source of: Energy/ Chi/ Qi/ Vitality/ Vital Life Force (VLF) / Divine Intelligence.
8/ in DAOISM there is a belief and understanding that both view are CORRECT and it is through the combination of Yin and Yang humans can function effectivelyL
Trinity of Dao, Caduceus symbol, DNA molecule, Heaven, Earth and Man.
The Dao trinity encompasses many meanings and symbols including:
A/ CADUCEUS symbol: this ancient symbol
represents Yin, Yang and the winged sword which
represents the Energy/ Chi/ Qi/ Life force.
the origin and the age of the symbol is unknown.
It is the traditional symbol of Hermes and is
often used as a symbol of medicine.
B/ DNA molecule: is a molecule composed of two
intertwined polynucleotide chains creating a
double helix carrying genetic structure for the basis
for Energy/ life forms. The two strands running parallel and opposite to one another. One strands represent YIN and the other strand represent YANG and when in the case of DNA, Yin and Yang are combined Life is the result of this combination.
C/ in Daoist science, medicine and philosophy Human Beings (Ren is Man or Human in Chinese language) stands on Earth (De) which is square and extends upwards towards Heaven (Tian). In this context we are formed from star dust and receive our Energy/ Qi/ Chi/ Vitality/ Vital Life Force (VLF) both from Heaven and Earth.
Trinity of Dao. 5- Ages/ stages/ phases of Man
1/ Universe and everything contained within it depends on Energy, Qi, Chi flow between Yin and Yang.
2/ Human life is also dependent on free, smooth and harmonious flow of Yin and
Yang and there are 5- stages to
Human beings growth from conception to
death.

STAGE 1- CONCEPTION PHASE:
Combination of female egg= Yin and
male sperm=Yang creates life.
STAGE 2- GROWTH PHASE-
There is a tremendous action
and abundance of Yang / fire compared to Yin.
STAGE 3- MATURITY / STABLE PHASE:
Yin and Yang are in harmony and are balanced.
STAGE 4- DECLINE / SENESCENCE PHASE:
Yin is greater than Yang and this indicates the reduction of Yang fire and general Energy of the body.
STAGE 5: DEATH PHASE: Yin and Yang are separated
